| I am asking if anyone knows how to tune the split tuning on the 6th string. I have a lever that drops a whole tone and the pedal that raises a half tone. Any help would be certainly appreciated. |

You HAVE to go in the right order
1) tune the open G#
2) tune the B pedal (nylon nut on the rod pulled by the pedal)
3) holding the B pedal down, add the lever. Tune the G note with the nylon nut on the rod pulled by the lever
4) release the B pedal, tune the F# with the cap screw.
If you get them in the wrong order, you'll be chasing your tail all night

I have to keep this drawing from Buddy Emmons nearby every time I do it, as it seemed counter-intuitive, but it's really not.

Paul, I think the guys covered it. However. If it still won't tune. Depending on how your guitar is set up. You may have to raise the 6th string lower rod maybe 2 holes in the 14 hole bell-crank. They leave the Emmons shop with enough throw to do this on this particular change. Unless your using a wound string. However someone could have tweaked it for their personal preference. Same holds true for the C6th.
