Steve,

Douglas guitars are produced in China, Korea and Taiwan. This particular axe was made in China.
The bender and bridge was handcrafted right here
in the USA. Adjustments were made to neck and string action.

Douglas guitars are well-reviewed. Here's a link for those interested. (from 2012, but still relavent I think).

Kind Regards,

How long is the bender throw? Is it adjustable.

Is spring tension adjustable?

Are there permanent oilless bearings at the pivot points or does it need lubrication?

It looks nice - just wondering if it has the features of high-end benders before I spend money I don't have!

(grin)

Jim, I have never heard of "permanent oilless bearings". Are they made of some sort of plastic? Thanks, Stevet

I built and installed the B bender on this guitar for Mark...Hear are the details.
Medium to long throw (non adjustable)
B string tuning stop thumb screw recessed on the upper top of the guitar for easy tuning.
Moving parts are nylon bushed even at the tension spring hook up points.(No spring noise you get on some benders)
Adjustable tension spring by way of a 5/16 recessed acorn nut just above the back strap button to allow easy adjustment to suit the player.
Guitar plays smooth and stays in tune.
Hope this info helps...Carl.
