If you are in the vicinity of NYC on Sunday, Feb. 19, that is a great time to come out and see us perform the music from my Steelonious CD and more. I will be playing with the original band from the recording, and we'll be playing Monk, Mingus, and ? in our own unique way. It ain't jazz, but it ain't not jazz.
The show begins at 7:00, and we will be followed at 9:00 by the great Manouche guitarist, Stephane Wrembel. The best thing is the following day is President's Day.
Barbes is located in Park Slope, Brooklyn at 376 9th Street, a couple of stores in from the corner of 6th Avenue. A very intimate, but great club for listening to music up close. _________________ http://www.steelinstruction.com/

I dug the album. Wish I could see it live. I used to live in Park Slope back in the late 80's with an old girlfriend near the park. Loved it. _________________ Singer-songwriter, author, composer and full-time musician, ie: poor! <g> |
