The Allegeny Steel Guitar Association is sponsoring a Steel Jam on Sunday, 19 March 2017, at the Stanley Snyder VFW, Post 7465 Brent Road, Volant, PA 16156. The venue is just a few miles from the "Grove City Premium Outlets" Exit on I-79. All regional players and guests are invited to the event, starting at 1:00 pm and continuing throughout the afternoon. The Jam format will remain like always; steel is the only lead, staff band and singer support provided for your favorite tunes, and guest attendance is encouraged. Our October 2016 Jam went well. This next Jam is in response to numerous requests for another Steel Jam. Please tell other players to come. Hope to see you there.

Tommy, I look forward to seeing you. The last time was when You, Steve and I, went to Perkins in Meadville, after a jam in Saegertown, before he went to Iraq. I hope I still recognize you.

The ASGA Steel Jam is just a few days away now and this note is a kind reminder in case your calendar isn't marked. We are expecting fair weather and a good turnout for the day. I hope to see you there,

I wasn't able to make it yesterday but I got a report from Brent Lindberg and he says it was a great show, and being very new to steel, he said he enjoyed the jam, he learned a lot and everybody he talked to were very helpful and forthcoming with information. I want to thank Steve Porter and all who worked to make this successful and thanks to all who showed up to share their talent, knowledge and music. I hope we can continue this event and hope to be at the next one.

Thank you Steve, for a GREAT jam! I've never had more fun, at a steel jam, than the last one! If you had em once a week, I would come, if I could! Kudos to the great staff band, too!
Very Happy -Jake-

All,

The ASGA Steel Jam was well supported by steel players and by audience. The feedback from everyone has been very positive so we will plan another event for this Summer. I enjoyed seeing everyone and listening to all the extraordinary talent among the musicians and singers. For those who couldn't attend, we hope to see you at the next Steel Jam.

Best Regards,

Steve
