Guns and ISPA, Harleys, back woods roaming, any and all guitars and living with old dogs and cats.
Newest room mate: Sarge, found starving, nearly dead in the Humboldt County woods. Brought back by the wonderful folks at www.muttville.org at a cost of $11,765.00. A terrific pooch, half wolf and some other stuff that gave him those ears...
That's 113", 135 hp, 129 lbs of torque. Literally set my right jeans leg on fire last month from those pipes. Very fast for any bike let alone a Harley...

I ride my bike.........
We rescue sight hounds. Whippets specifically.
I bug my wife. This one is the most fun. _________________ I have stuff.
I try to make music with it.
Sometimes it works.
Sometimes it doesn't.
But I keep on trying. |

That's cool, Rick, but where are you going to find someone crazy enough to go up in it when it's done? |

Hey Brooks, no mate it's a little further south than that ... just under the Mt Dobson ski field actually in South Canterbury -- the animal is a Pitt Island Ram which is a native of the Chatham Islands, off the east coast of NZ.
There is a local population of these wild sheep which need some management _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

I taught myself to play steel and lately I've gotten into teaching myself to paint via Youtube.

Thanks Dave, that was my first painting where I used only a Palette Knife instead of a brush. The window frame is the only part where I used a brush. I was very pleased with the outcome. My paintings are truly by trial and error as I don't have a good grasp on mixing paint. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

Jim,My only teacher has been Youtube since buying the paints a couple of months ago. I've never had a lesson other than that. Thanks for your nice compliment. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

As a professional engineer by profession I am doomed to dabble in mechanical things. I enjoy working on home wood projects, some motor-head stuff, flying, and sailing (I owned a 28" sailboat for 16 years; lived aboard for two yrs.) But music, singing, playing guitar, dobro, and dabbling in PSG is my relaxation and go-to stress reliever. Some of my fondest memories during my JrHS and HS years was playing in a rock band ('65-'6, weekend dances, frat parties, etc. It beat the heck out of working in grocery store stocking shelves. We were at dances looking at good looking ladies and having a blast, and making some money. _________________ Brian A. Christiano, MSME, P.E.

I have to agree, Dick those are really great looking works. To my one and only eyeball they look as if a well schooled and talented old professional painted them! Damn ,I would say you have a "retirement profession/hobby" in the bag.I would love to live long enuff to see your future works in say 10 years or so. Amazing talent you got there....Stormy |

I only wish I could learn C6th as fast as I'm learning to paint...LOL
I have a good eye for detail but no true understanding on values or how to mix paints to get the proper value so the painting has depth.
Thank you for your nice comments. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

Dick, for having no instruction, those paintings are awesome. The window and lighthouse are impressive. Keep up the good work. Maybe you can pick up a lesson or two from a local artist. _________________ Brian A. Christiano, MSME, P.E.

Hot Dog was my first thought when I saw the dog and the fireplace! My second thought was how awesome and real the rain covered window looked.
