Nope that was a miniscule part of it, I missed out the sales of 3 million plus solo albums of mine and a myriad more of relevant info, of course only relevant to those that feel my presence here is welcome !

Lest we continue to bore the rest of the Forum, I propose we continue our conversation on Twitter. See ya.

Your presumption of boring is drastically flawed, I am confident that many find the 'Cut and Thrust' entertaining and amusing somewhat. As for anti-social-media and Twitter, Farcebook and YouTube, well they are combining, this says it all.
BTW Not directed at you Jim..

Jim I'm flabbergasted that you missed such an open opportunity to put in a further 'Dig' you COULD have said

Of course Jim that's based upon a psychological analysis of you prevailing tone throughout the "Discusion'

As for your "Professional" comment Bud,
Quote:
#3, The segments we see on the web-site are not new, they have been view-able for some months now. I personally saw them some months ago, a year ago, maybe more, I have lost track. They are OLD as well as unfinished.
Indeed, then why were they not corrected 'Months if not Years ago' once they had been pointed out ?

In MY established CURRENT position as a record producer for the very top echelon, sound editor for the BBC, SKY television and many more, I don't see value in your comment; "Rough Cuts" are made for private viewing and assessment, also If you don't know that it's a Documentary and NOT a Film or Video per se, I see no substance to your opinion, Other than as an individual giving singular comment not based upon specific knowledge of the content and production modus operandi.
I only know a little in general, but the little I know I know a lot about..

Bas, why don't you just post your full resume for us all at once, instead of dribbling it out piecemeal? It would make it much easier for everyone concerned, don't you think?

Nah, I'm enjoying keeping you on tenterhooks, as well as imparting some more unusual uses of language hither and thither whilst disseminating flotsam and jetsam.

It's only my opinion, but I think it's unwise to bandy words with a wordsmith; especially one who's an autodidact.

Pardon me to intervene in your discussion that I can not
understand in English, but on the other hand I confirm that is indeed the MULTIHARP OF GIBSON, Nickie playing again and since 1963...
Our common friend Georges Chatagny very documented, had sent us a photo of Basilh also playing on a Multiharp. With a small comment, always mischievous as usual: " Nickie, like this, you will feel less alone..."
I have recently asked the following question about the forum
"is there video of steelers playing on thi instrument so

Basil is one of the most well-informed and well-read exponents of the pedal steel in all its forms, and has a lifelong expertise in the field. Anyone whom he assists in an historical project concerning our favourite instrument, the steel guitar, should feel honoured to be given the opportunity to take advantage of his vast knowledge on the subject.

For him to recognise a Gibson Multiharp is simple ...he used to play one.

I hope that someday Basil can find time to write his memoirs. I would certainly be one of the first to buy a copy. Cool

To hark back to an original point under discussion on this thread I would have to support the notion that steel guitar is US-centric.

Sure, there are exponents of varying levels of accomplishment from all over the world (I'm one of them) but who can argue that the inspiration hasn't come initially from Hawaii and latterly from the United States? Let's acknowledge from whence the culture has been drawn.

Not taking sides, just trying to offer my perspective.
