That was many years ago for sure. This just shows how Buddy Emmons improved so much down through the years. Thanks for posting.

Don't see much wrong with what he's doing there and how about those twin guitars.

Yeah, he's getting by pretty good. The E9 sounds dated. But remember this was 55 or 56. No high G# and he had not split his pedals-pedal yet.

Joel Price from Lavonia Georgia on the bass. I believe he was the original country electric bass player, wasn't he?

Is the shorter guitar player Howard Rhoten?

Did you notice the rap ditty on the commercial?

The first guy in Nashville to use one. Or something like that. Met Joel when I was maybe ten. A fine old fellow. Miss him. Had some great Buddy stories to.

The Country Boys were:

Little Jimmy Dickens: vcl / gtr
Johnny Johnson: rh gtr
Howard Rhoten: gtr
Spider Wilson: gtr
Buddy Emmons: stl gtr
Joel Price: bs
Jimmy Gossett: drms

The broadcast was filmed at the Bradley Studio. I believe it is early 1957 shortly before the Country Boys - the hottest band working out of Nashville - disbanded.
