I received a wonderful compilation CD of steel greats as a gift, called "Nashville Steel Guitar 20 Greatest". Of course I love it!

There are 3 cuts on there by the Nashville Rhythm, but no further credits as to who is in the group. Anyone know who the steel player is? Sounds very Buddy Emmons-ish to me.

Thanks!

Kelly

Yep, that's exactly the CD I got. A wonderful Christmas gift! The liner notes only say "Nashville Rhythm Section" for 3 songs. Nothing in the liner notes say who exactly is in the band. My question is: Does anyone know who played steel for those cuts in that band?

The 3 songs are:
Danny Boy
Amazing Grace
What A Friend We Have In Jesus

Thank you.

When Bobbe Seymour worked at the Western Room in Printer's Alley,

he called his band"The Nashville Rhythm Session".

Without hearing the cuts in question,it's hard to say...

If I could hear them ,I could tell if it was BS or not...

...because if you go to the iTunes store, you can hear samples of the CD in the OP.

It doesn't sound like BS at all to me...and I heard him every night for years.

Maybe Stu Basore (SB not BS)?

This Miller's Cave recording of Louis Armstrong w/Nashville Rhythm Section list Stu as pedal steel guitar?
