They don't get generally good reviews on this forum. In my opinon there are much better instruments for around the same price.
What's your budget? What type(s) of music do you want to play? _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Many years ago a bought a Morrell 8 string just because the implication was that they were made in the USA.
Came with a lipstick tube pickup that was too short to pick up the outside low and high strings. I fooled with the pickup height and slight left/right position without any change - the pickup did not work on the outside strings.
I called Morrell and reported what I had and his response was that 'they had never had anyone report the problem before' Offered no resolution / no refund.
I discovered this Forum while researching the problem and learned that there were dozens of other buyers noting the same issue. I speculate that Morrell tries to use a 6 string pickup on the 8 string guitars.
I ended up trading it to Bob Allen as partial payment for one of his steels.
Buyer beware. |

I'll quote one of my favorite songs from The Band. "Don't Do It!" |
