I have the usual problem of the pot metal on my Super Pro changer fingers having grooves worn on them. I've had the guitar for 30 years and this is not the first time I've had it apart to "rotate" the fingers, but they are just too far gone.
One solution I've heard of is to fill in & file smooth the grooves with JB Weld. This may work, but I have run across a product called Super Alloy 1 from an outfit called Muggy Weld. It is a special solder & flux kit with a low 350 degree melting point that is made especially for pot metal. Supposedly it is as strong as the original metal, which would probably be stronger that JB Weld. Has anyone had any experience with this stuff?

The cold weld/JB weld is harder and more durable than any pot metal. Here's what I did to mine..http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=308831

Jeff Surratt @ Show-Pro has real aluminum replacement fingers for those guitars.
