I'm looking for Emmons/Marlen style bell cranks for a 5/16" round cross shaft. In need of a couple now but will need several more because I plan to take out all the swivel mechanisms from my pull release Marlen and replace with spring loaded rods for all the lowers. They don't need to be original or anything, just function well. Also looking for a bunch of the little set screw collars. Anyone know of a good source for those? Thanks, Brett |

collars here: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXE106&P=6. Any hobby supply store will have them in various sizes/quantities.
If you don't need both the push and pull on every one, old Sho-Bud two hole bellcranks might do the trick. Michael Yahl makes 'em. I have a couple on my PP, but on raises, not lowers. They are longer and would provide a bit more leverage but will require ~1-3/16" clearance between the edge of the cross shaft and the underside of the top deck for the lowers (which your guitar may or may not have). Clem Schmitz used to sell regular Emmons PP replacements on ebay but haven't noticed them lately. |

Thanks Ian, that's good info. Seems expensive though that one of those bell cranks should cost over $45. |

Brett, are you looking for 4 or 14 hole Emmons bell cranks? I have some 4 holes if that's what you want. |

Thanks Dave, I'm looking for the type that the rod can pass straight through and works with a set collar. Like from a push pull, or like the two hole Sho-Bud ones that Ian mentioned. |

I think they are about ~$25 each from PSG Parts, he sells them in pairs so two bell cranks and two swivels is ~$45 + ship. I would bet that there are a ton of used ones laying around here in forumland though if you ask around. Probably more plentiful than Marlen or Emmons bell cranks if they would work for what you need.
The Marlen cranks don't look like they would too difficult to replicate, are they aluminum? |

Looks like it says $32.38 for one bell crank then an additional $12.65 for two of the brass swivels... |
$32.38 is for a package of two bell cranks, still not cheap but very nice quality. Good luck! |

You can find the Emmons p/p bell cranks and rod collars on ebay, too, Just do a search there.
