I'm no longer on the Convention Board, but during my tenure of 13 years, I don't recall ever receiving any nomination documents on Buddy. Which means that nobody took the time to assemble a bio and documentation, and then send it to the board.

Could be because he was better known as a guitar player rather than a steel guitar player. He only did 2 steel lp's out of all his recordings.

does anybody know the tuning of Buddy Merrills first neck (neck nearest the player) when he played the song (South) on his four neck Fender Steel?
