Strayhorn, Emmons LeGrande II, D-10. 8X6. Lawrence L710s or orig Emmons SC's. I replaced the white fat line fretboards with beautiful vintage metal thin line fretboards.(not shown in photos)

Needs nothing, precision set up. Modern Emmons copedent. Condition is Excellent.

Strayhorn guitars are the among the best All pull models ever turned out by the Emmons company. Plays great, sounds huge, sustain is awesome..

I did not like the original blue mica so it is covered in quality Charcoal/black carbon fiber auto wrap. Looks fantastic. (easily removed to orig) It now has a LeGrande II sticker on the front apron.

Price reduced to $3600 plus shipping and ins Conus only

Serious questions always welcome.

Just out of curiosity, what is the indication or trade mark that makes it a Strayhorn guitar? Its not that I don't believe you, just that I wonder how you can know for sure.

Barry, thanks for your inquiry. The serial number identifies this as a Strayhorn Emmons. A forum search will provide additional info on the subject which you may find informative and fun.

Regards and best,
JW

...uh...carefully?
Seriously tho Bob its easy. I removed then traced and trimmed the necks and headstocks to not sandwich the wrap under the contact points of the metal parts. The wrap as been a big improvement visually and has had Zero effect on the tone.

There are helpful video tips on using car wrap all over the interwebs. Its a fun and rewarding project.

I played this guitar at John's place. It's a tone monster and plays like butter.

Hi Larry

Thanks for your question. Apologies, The photos are not up to date, I'll try to take some more soon:

I added a 6th KL: its a CKR for C6
I switched out the fretboards to beautiful vintage metal thin line type.
I switched out the Pickups to L-710s

Best JW
