Topic: High G# string broke in two places? |

I just broke my third string after a practice session. I noticed that the string broke at the changer finger and at the tuning post. Seemingly at the same time?
Ever happen to anyone else? 2014 Mullen G2

At the changer finger and at the tuning post? That has to be at least as lucky as a four-leaf clover - treasure the memory!

yes it was quite strange. I went to take the string off the post and it was already off. With the winding still around the post.

| That would be fate breaking on both ends at once. All the 3rd strings I have broke at changer end, Except 1. I once broke a 3rd string at the changer finger on stage, I done a quick replacement and shorted the wraps on the key. The string was wrapped over the cross hole in the tuner. The next day practicing some songs for the show that night. I had the 3rd string break at the tuner. When this string broke being new and strechy, It came over my bar hand and stuck in my right ring finger beside my ring to the bone. Sounds like when the string broke at the changer the tuner end had a flaw and broke to. Happy Steelin. |
