does anybody know how many d-10 Franklin's with wooden necks where made. i only know of one that T.C furlong has. and if paul still's Owens this wood neck d-10.

Hey Paul! Just caught your post. There is at least one other which would be the red lacquer which Paul pictured on his Christmas album(which I would guess he used on that project). The blue guitar that you posted was made from the "Old Hickory" wood supply and lacquered by Jeff Surratt's finish person. Wasn't aware that "T.C" had one also...might have seen a pic of it at some point, might have had a mica finish(?). Maybe he'll chime in. Other than that, I would not be surprised if there were too many others(if at all). Paul, Sr. wasn't known to be very "liberal" in his ideas cosmetically. Actually, Duane Marrs, his counterpart, was much more likely to build you a guitar honoring your specific specs. He built a guitar for me with a lacquer finish "outside" and a mica finish underneath the cabinet...just to see what it would sound like! Respectfully submitted, RK
