Playing on a Lap Steel, What tuning would you use and what key. E7th? E6th? C6th? or non of the mentioned. No Problem on Do Bro. Would you tune your Lap to D?

Yes, everything going well here but I'll need to build another 350 lap steels to pay for her Life Flight helicopter ride. Haven't gotten the bill yet but my understanding is that they get $17,500 when the helicopter lifts off and then $185 per mile. It's 93 air miles from here to Chattanooga. Prices on Melbert lap steels will remain the same unless suppliers increase prices after January 1st.

Hi Robert!

Here's a little demo of Wildwood on C6 6 string ECAGEC
Pardon the sound but I hope it helps. Compliments of the Season to you and yours.

Roy, nice version of Wildwood Flower. It was Wayne who was asking about it. I play in G, A, and E tunings. I doubt I'll ever learn to play much in C6 tuning in my lifetime, although I did manage to master Doug Beaumier's C6 version of Amazing Grace. I may give this a try.

Very nice Roy, I like the melodic sound. Come to think of It I don't know why I even asked the question as soon as I read Bob's answer it struck me, tune your Lap Steel like your Do Bro, D. or G. it will work fine. Some times I wonder about my self.
