Heres a Beta version for the Pedal Steel Guitar Chord and Note finder. Theres a download link on the page. I think I have all of the bugs out of it. Let me know if you have a problem or would like to see something else in the program.

I noticed that you are using "#" and "b" interchangeably, which might be confusing, as sharp signs are used as one goes up the scale, and flats as one goes down. As an option, you could have a button to switch between the two signs.

It sort of works the opposite to the way I would need it.

For example, it can tell me all the ways to play a C chord if I have a particular combination of pedals and levers engaged but I really need it to tell me which ones I need to use.

Windows Defender reports Malware and deleted the file. I don't know what ZIP program you used or what caused it. I have downloaded many zipped programs and none had any false malware reports.

Defender reported this Trojan:
Trojan: Win32/Detplock

I just downloaded the program on December 13. I tested both the zip file and the extracted .exe with both Trend Micro and Malwarebytes and neither found any problems. No warnings either. I suspect that Windows Defender issued a false positive detection.

I scanned the file with Norton , then got a new version of Norton and re-scanned. Both scanned clean.

that is going to up to the user and what color of voicing you need in the song.

Like Jeff, I think it would be most useful if it could show you several places to play any given chord, given your copedent. For example, where are all the places one can play G7#11? Tell me what fret, strings and pedals/KLs to use.

I got warnings about it from Windows but it checked out clean from my regular AV scanner.

I could do that but it would only be in a standard copendent. IT would require a rather large loop with each pedal and knee lever combination. But that would be very useful.

Greg, I didn't mean to detract from your generous offer of what you have already produced. Thank you for making this available.

Would this be better in a Excel Worksheet? I have the older version of Excel. Or would Open Office spreadsheet be better? Open Office is a free program.

As a followup to a discussion about Windows Defender flagging the download as malicious, Jack and I have confirmed that it was a false positive detection by Windows Defender. There is nothing wrong with the program itself. I don't know what program was used to zip the executable, so that zipping program may be at issue with Defender.

Now that I think about it, a few days ago I reinstalled Windows 10 onto a new SSD in my Dell Latitude E6500. To speed things up I transferred my frequently used programs to it via my home network. I began installing the programs a day later. By default, Windows Defender was activated until I get a chance to replace it with Trend Micro. I recall that Defender flagged "Winzip19.exe" as a potential PUP. I added the file to my exclusion list and forgot all about it, until now. Defender is misguided.

Interesting tool Greg. Noticed vertical knee when taken off does not return. Needs lube, lol. Just click on A pedal, then off returns.

I installed it and it works great so far . Thank you for putting this out there Greg. When Windows smart screen comes on just hit more info and it gives the option to run anyway. RS

Hmmm mine works. I'll look into it. I am working on version with a few more options and making the code a bit tighter.

IT will be a while I just hurt my back and cant sit very long at the computer.
