I'd imagined using the right foot for A only and left foot (much m accustomed to using the pedals) would take B and C

I may have done it wrong Lane but was easier for me to just pump C pedal with left foot and since B strings already pulled up with A and B with right foot. Sounds right as best as I could tell but I would never use that. To me takes more practice having volume right before I take my foot off volume pedal, LOL.

I'm not sure there's a "wrong" way to double-foot.
But as long as it works

Johnny Cox has an E-F#-only raise on his pedal 9, if I recall correctly.
I would put it on pedal 7 (shared with C6 of course) with an 8 pedal guitar.

| Definitely using the C pedal with the right foot. You can tell by the way his body is shifting when he moves his foot over. That's a typical Ralph Mooney type of lick. Mooney always used his right foot on the C pedal – I think it only raised the E string on his steel and was positioned closer to his right foot. |
