I've been using LogicPro smart drummer as a metronome for practicing and it's great. Only thing is there isn't a country style drummer in there. I've managed to get close by tweaking the parameters, but still not quite there. Also found some downloadable stuff on youtube of train beats but they were done by someone who to me sounds like they never played in a country band.

Let me know if anything comes to mind. I'd like to develop a catalog of different feels and bpm's for playing along with.

I've purchased the Country Drum loops from Beta Monkey. There are good for my purposes of demoing.

Thanks for the suggestion Mike! I think I'm going to just track my friend playing drums in the studio. It'll be good practice for me too since I'm learning how to operate all that outboard gear he has at his place.
