Once again, it is time to announce another great CD from the Shoe.
As is his habit, his selections are quite different than most Steel CDs.
Shoe always utilizes like minded musicians to attain his goal of providing a truly great sound. This time he surrounded himself with his friends to give us “Curt Shoemaker in Grand Styleâ€, a collection of 10 songs from Johnny Angel to Hicks’ Nashville Nectar.
Somewhere in between he gives us his renditions of Knock Three Times, O Solo Mio, Today, Help Me Make It Through the Night and John Denver’s Back Home Again. As usual his arrangements, tone and execution lends to some really fine listening pleasures. Good Time Charlie’s Got the Blues and Hey There Lonely Girl show us the sentimental and caring side of The Shoe.
In the past, Shoe has utilized the vocal services of Les Gilliam, who has done a fine job for him. I never have met Les, but he must be a terrific gentleman, because Shoe wrote a song and named it Les Gilliam Waltz. It is a beautiful tribute to a friend and a great melody.
All I can say, is if you can’t find pleasure in listening to this CD, you must not like steel guitar.

| Curt has a winner in this wonderful cd. Nice mix of some fresh material and excellent production of sound. This cd stays on the rotation and brings a few smiles. He weaves in and out with style and awesome tone throughout the tracks. Well done Curt. |
