From when to when did they make the LDG with the straight knee levers and narrow pedals? Also, what parts are most likely to break and where do you get replacements?

Starting in the late 70s.
Which parts? The ones with internal cavities and pits in the pot metal.

| The most vulnerable piece is the LKL! Show Pro has the replacement made out of better metal. Also where the floor pedal rods hook to the cross shafts tend to egg shaped. JS |

| More precisely the brackets that connect the knee lever to the cross shaft, not the levers themselves. |

A good friend of mine has a '76 LDG, square front w/teardrop levers. The pedals looked to have been shaved smooth, to narrows. Maybe that'll help you narrow it down a bit?
Also, I'm sure I've read that the LDG took on whatever system Sho~Bud was using, during the year the guitar was built? Still, it's not unheard of to see one completely custom built to the customers wants/needs? |

| Those narrow smooth pedals are normal on '76 Sho-Buds, as are teardrop levers and Gumby keyhead. |

Mike Yahl would at psgparts.com will be your best resource for anything Sho-Bud.... He is a heck of a guy to talk to and he is really affordable on pricing... all of his parts are OEM specs but made out of T-6061 aircraft aluminum... Slim

I'll echo what Mike W just said....Michael Yahl at psgparts.com just sent me some VERY nice knee lever brackets for my LDG. They're beautifully made. Mine were the original pot metal and one of them broke. I replaced all 4 before the others failed.

I never broke a knee lever on any of the Sho~Buds I had in over 20 years... maybe I was just lucky....

My LDG, made in the first part of 77, came with the tear drop knee levers, and narrow, grooved pedals. I traded them for the older wide pedals, and had to move both LKL, and LKR levers to the left, so I could do the LKL, and A pedal with ease. All my brackets are steel, no pot metal. Guess I got lucky, but soon after that, Sho~Bud, started using pot metal.
