This is a very cool old guitar. It's original except sometime in the last 55 years someone replaced the pots. In terms of flaws there is a very small crack in the pickguard but I had it repaired. You can see it if you look hard at the normal shots and you can see it pretty good in the closeup shots and there are some of the usual sorts of dings, etc. you'd expect in a 55 year old, played guitar. Comes in a non-original, but fairly era-correct hard case. $1500 shipped CONUS.

Powerful Melody Maker pickup mounted off the body in finger rest. 1 "f" hole Individual tone and volume controls. Cord jack mounted on finger rest. 16 ¼" wide, 20 ¼" long, 1 ¾" thin; 24 ¾" scale, 20 frets.

Bump for a very cool guitar. I have one in the house, it came with my wife, ha, ha. Purchased new from Johnny Smith when she took lessons at his shop in Colorado Springs. It is very lively, and the easiest playing guitar I have ever handled. |

Indeed, it's all of that and more, in the sense that it's got 52 years of mojo imbued in it as well. I will say that they're not the 'best' guitars in the world, if you remove the neck (which is a dream...)it's a true player. Thanks for the bump !! _________________ Just another belt & suspenders guy...

Have one exactly like it but not in anywhere near as nice shape, which was s gift from my sister-in-law who bought it new. Terrific "roots" guitar - instant '50's tone! |
