Listened to this album today, its always been one of my favorites. I was thinking it has a nice flow to it and brings back good memories. One song, "Change is Now" is some early psychedelia with pedal steel compliments of Red Rhodes. Great idea whoever came up with it. This album was recorded between June and Dec. 1967 and released in Jan. 68. 7 months later Sweetheart was released. Thank you Byrds !!

Such a great album. I love the re-mastered version with the bonus tracks and David Fricke liner notes. Those later Byrds albums are so well crafted and produced they hold up amazingly well.

My older brother moved to Hawaii in '69 and left his 12 year old little brother with a stack of about 30 incredible albums; Cream, Blind Faith, Santana, CSN... this was and continues to be my favorite. Gonna give him a call today!

My father built a house back then, it was three stories high and we moved in on the second. But before all the meubles and kitchen etc were set up, he let me use the old record player set up on a radio, which had a real good warm tube sound where you could really hear the bass guitar.
I've had the whole appartment for my own to listen to that record loud. A memory I never forgot.
