Here's an 8-string keyless lap steel made from a Schecter body. The neck appears to be made with a 1/4-inch or so lacewood (leopard wood) veneer over something heavy and hard like maple. Eight keyless tuners are adjusted with a specially made allen-style tuner wrench. Strings go through the body and are secured to a mounting plate with screws on the backside of the guitar. George L 10-1 is in the bridge position and a fairly hot single coil is in the neck position. Three-way switch with volume and tone controls provide what you need to get the sound you want from the two very different pickups. Tone control can be used to get that "BOO-wah" effect, too.
This one has been through a few different owners, so it has some signs of wear and minor surface scratches. Comes with the tuning wrench. Currently tuned C6 (low-high: GACEGACE).
$450 + shipping (FedEx ground). Will also consider trades plus cash.

| David that's the lap I built a while back, I built it with new body from Schecter l ordered it new an used the 8 string neck to build Zane a pedal guitar. You can see Zane play the pedal guitar on YouTube. It has 4 pedals an 5 knees. I put a lot time in building that instrument it's one of a kind for sure. Good luck with your sale Johnie King |
