Wayne was a great player in the PA region around the Harrisburg Pa area.

Wayne & I met down in Maryland at a show, he was a heck of a nice fellow. Came up & visited & spend a whole day up here playing steel guitar with me. I don't think he was all that old. But sure hate to lose a steel player like him.

Sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. Met Wayne's daughter one time at Park City Mall in Lancaster. Don't recall ever meeting Wayne, but I know he was well-liked and spoken of very highly.

Respectfully,
Craig Baker

Wayne was a great player and one of the guys that helped me get started. I have a copy of his cd that he recorded called polished steel. Really sorry to hear of his passing.

How sad. Wayne was one of the first steel players I met on the road when I started with the Whites in 1986. We played several venues in PA the first few years I was in the White's band. Wayne would usually be in the opening band. Wayne was a really great steel player and sincere gentleman. We hit it off immediately when we met and stayed in touch until the past few years.
Does anyone know details? I would like to honor Wayne somehow and let his family know how much I liked and respected him.

I believe there is going to be a musician's get together to celebrate Wayne's life and honor him some time in August. I will post more details as I hear more.

I don't know him, although I guess I should since I'm from Mechanicsburg. But, I've been gone from there for a long time.
