Hi,I'm new to the forum. I have a 1949 McKinney Guitars (Supro) 6 string lap-steel and am restoring the electronics. I have a feeling the magnet(s) may be a problem. It has a magnet on the treble side and a wooden dummy on the bass side. I would love to get some Rick Aiello NiBro magnets as have been raved about in this forum. I can't find a link to where he may sell the magnets. Perhaps he's not in the magnet business anymore?
There are links all over the place to various sites he has, or is on, including one that describes his NiBro magnets, but no link to a retail site. Any ideas?

Send me your address via PM ... I'll make you a set.

I'm going back to teaching high school chemistry next week ... My youngest, Luigi, starts kindergarten this fall ... So there is no need to be a stay at home dad ... And this offer to teach IB was "an offer I couldn't refuse"

I'll still fix things for my buddies ... And make the little NIBro's ... But bigger things like pickups and cast steels ... They'll have to wait till next summer at the earliest Mr. Green

You're a lucky man, David! The sound quality of the NiBros will blow you away.

Thanks, Ian. I feel very lucky that Rick will take the time to help me. I am a bass player who has always dabbled in other instruments and have played lap-steel off and on ever since a friend loaned me his brother's Fender lap-steel back in 1968. I'm going on my second Legendery Rhythm and Blues Cruise in January and want to bring my McKinney with me along with my bass. The lap-steel will fit in the overhead on the plane to FLA. They have a Pro-Am jam pretty much all the time along with all the major R and B acts and I want to add a little spice to the jams. I'll also play bass, of course. Last year I jammed with people like Harold Brown, the drummer for the Low Rider Band (formerly War). I think the lap-steel will go over real well during the jam sessions. I may change my primary instrument to lap-steel if the McKinney plays as well as I expect with the Rick Aiello magnets.

Rick. Congratulations on the teaching gig! My daughter is a kindergarten through 6th grade teacher and is absolutely in love with her career. She says there's nothing like helping a youngster learn their full potential.

I taught AP Chemistry for 16 years in Palm Beach County ... Then stayed home with my babies for 16 years and made steel guitar stuff ... Now I'll be teaching IB Chemistry ....

Rick, what is IB Chemistry?

Is it "irritable bowel chemistry"?

Put your wife through med school, then stayed home with the babies while becoming the grand poohbah of magnets and all things Rick---now back to teaching chemistry---you are inspirational.
