The Texas Steel Guitar Association is happy to announce a new, and very exciting venue for our monthly meetings.  Beginning in August, our meetings will be held at the Texas Musician's Museum located at 222 E. Irving Blvd, Irving, Tx.  The TMM has an indoor staging area which seats approximately 150 people, as well as, an outdoor staging area capable of seating several hundred people.
Across from the venue is a large, free parking area.  The Trinity Railway Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing station is, also, directly across from TMM.   This venue, also, includes a restaurant and bar.
Most thrilling is the museum itself.  However, touring the museum does require an admission fee. Thank you, Tom and Marianne Kreason, for creating such a great venue, and wonderful museum.
The TSGA is extremely excited about our new relationship with this venue, and the many possibilities it holds.  Our first meeting at the TMM will be August 14, 2016.  We hope moving to this more centrally located venue, makes it easier for all to attend.  Join us in August for some great music, fellowship, and help us celebrate this great new venue.
Keep in mind, the July meeting will still be held at the Buckner Retirement Center.  More information will be posted later.  In the meantime, check out our new venue at their website: texasmusiciansmuseum.com
Stay tuned for more information.

I was telling another steel player about the news. The question come up about the admission price. Do you have any idea what it will cost to get in?

Of course, there is no admission fee to attend the meeting. The admission fee is only if you want to tour the museum. I believe tickets for the museum are $15. You can check the website to verify that. I hear they have some great exhibits. I'm looking forward to visiting the museum, myself.

I wonder if there is any exhibits of steel players? If not, I'm thinking, there will be very soon?
Yes, this is a very cool thing, very exciting.

I've not confirmed this with Albert, but assume the meetings will start at the usual, 1:30 p.m. Keep in mind, that we will not meet at the TMM until August. Thanks.

One great thing about this location is that it is between Dallas and Ft. Worth. This will make it much closer for the people that live in the western part of the Metroplex to attend. Ya'll come.

Not only is this location centrally located, don't forget, there is a restaurant, as well. Grab a bite to eat, and enjoy some great people, and music. It's just a few weeks away. More news to come.
