We had our meeting last Sunday in Victoria, with Roy Glaze doing an excellent job as the featured player. Roy is one of the very few lefty steelers that I know of. It's like looking in the mirror and playing! He gets great tone from his early seventy's MSA that he has recently re-done. Way to go, Roy! Glad your wife, Suzie, came along, too!
We also had Doug Evlerud and David Hubenak come over and bring their guitars. Thanks to Larry Shoppe and Mark Adkins for coming along, too. (They didn't have room for any equipment in the sports car they came in...) We couldn't let Larry get by without singing a few songs - thanks!
We also want to thank John Sullivan (bass and PA) and Randall Edwards (drums).
Looking forward to next month!

I had a great time hanging out with the folks from the Victoria Steel Guitar Club.
I didn't know this, but if you're a left-handed steel player, you need a left-handed thumb pick. That HAS to be a special order item.
