a peavey amplifier. I am looking for a used
one that works perfectly at a good price.

Hi Jim - If you don't find one - I had my local dealer order one for my old Session 400 from Peavey - I think it was only around $35.00 and it was the right one!!

Ron is right. Buy a new one from Antique Electronic Supply:

Depending on the model number you need, it looks like the most it would be is $24 plus shipping and handling. I have ordered from them several times and I know they ship fast.
Not trying to break anyone's rice bowl, but the only way a used one is worthwhile would be if you could get it for $20 including shipping. And then, who knows how long it would last...
