He's up in Connecticut, but I highly recommend John Widgren.

Most New Yorkers make the trip.

If it's a push pull John is it.

If it's a modern guitar hit up Jon Light in Brooklyn. He can either help or point you in the right direction.

I will say though, I the schlep up to CT is a pain but John is an absolute master at fixing the PSG. I have nothing but praise for his work.

I only have all pull guitars at this point.
John is great I agree- but I would like to find someone additional.
I'll try Jon thanks!

Thanks for pointing David this way, Mark. We talked. Would have worked out but my bench is pretty much torn down for the time being as I prepare to ditch NYC this summer (plans still taking shape).

Swing on by my house and let's take a look at it.

I drove a rental car around Lower Manhattan, took a wrong turn, ended up in the tunnel over to Brooklyn then back down Flatbush ave. Nascar has nothin on New York drivers.

that's why NY drivers can easily learn PSG- we're used to stepping on the pedals:)

Yea; a few years back I flew John down to Florida for a free winter vacation, and in return he set up my Emmons bolt on to absolute perfection. Then we rode Harleys together!

What John W. doesn't know about steels ain't worth knowing. Trust me; he is your guy.Great player, too.

I never hesitate in sending a referral to my good friend, John Widgren! He just recently went way out of his way to help someone from Norway with a ZumSteel that flew it to New York to get some setup work done and knee levers and a pedal added. With my current backlog along with shipping back and forth, I couldn't handle the job within the time frame required. John stepped up and coordinated everything; pick up/delivery of the steel, expedited the ordering parts from Bruce, and a lot more!

John has also been very generous with his time on the phone , taking my calls long after the work was completed, answering questions and talking me thru subsequent adjustments that were needed.

John helped me tweak my Mullen D-10 over the phone.

I recommend taking the parkway up there. Avoid those commercial trucks and the psychos driving on I-91.

There's some cool stuff in the town over in Weston. Had a good lunch at this cafe and there's an old bar with a view of a water fall. Very old New England vibes.
