This past Monday night I went to visit an old friend of 40 years.
If you have not heard this band, you need to.
They play most Monday nights @ 3rd and Lindsley.

They start at 9pm but the lines start forming at 4 pm.
Moral of story? Buy tickets in advance!!!!.

I didn't realize they sell tix in advance. So, if you buy in advance, you can just walk in without any lines? If so, that's great to hear... been wanting to go hear them for a long time...

I believe they started doing advance tickets when they moved to the 3rd and Lindsley.

Yes, you can order tickets in advance, BUT that only guarantee's you will get in the door, not get a table.

We got there about 7:15 and it was pretty full then. We did get a great table, but 30 minutes later and we would have been sitting on a bar stool around the side walls. Parking can be a bit of a problem also. Get there late and you may have quite a walk from your car.

In case you don't know, the name of the venue, Third and Lindsey, is also the location, on the corner where Third and Lindsey streets intersect.

I went with friends from Nashville. To pass time we snacked on the bar food and caught up on old times. The time went quite fast. More than worth the wait. As far as I am concerned, this is a historical event that should not be missed. In my opinion, this is best band there has ever been (or ever will be), period.

BTW: Unless things have changed, none other than John Hughey's widow Jean will greet you at the door and check your reservation on the roster. I think she also has some of John's merchandise for sale.

Thanks for the tips and info about the venue. I’ll be going in a few weeks, and I’m really looking forward to it.

I’ve got to see how Paul F does those C to A pedal switches so fast.

I made a trip to the States to see them in Lancaster KY about 18 months ago. I did this because they were never going to come to Australia.

A great show. They were made Kentucky Colonels that night and Colonel Vince and Colonel Paul were in fine form as were the rest of the newly appointed Colonels. I am very pleased to have made the effort and it is something I will never ever forget or likely surpass.

DO make an effort to see these wonderful players.
