I have an Emmons SD-10 Serial # 176 ST and it has the Legrand Pedals on it. Being a Push Pull wouldn't it have the Cast type Pedals on it as opposed to the Legrand Pedals ? Anyone know what year this Guitar is by the serial number ?
Thanks !

I purchased a new Emmons S-12 push/pull in about 1982.
It had the newer style pedals on it.

John, I have #146 and it has the cast pedals. I also have #191 and it has the newer narrow pedals. I'm estimating #146 as a 1978 and #191 is confirmed from Emmons as a 1981.

Thanks Randy,
Looks like mine is probably a 1980. I'm right in the middle of what you have Smile I still like the older Pedals as that is what I've always had. I'd like to change them out but it may be a little expensive.
Thanks again !

Hi John

My 1980 and 1982 Emmons SD 10 PP's both have Legrand style pedals.

The 1977 that I just sold did have the narrow cast pedals. ( the guitar that you originally wanted to buy from me ).

I always liked the cast a little better but the Legrand style are not bad once you get used to them. You will have a pretty hard time finding an old Emmons pedal bar with cast pedals. The narrow cast pedals themselves are hard to come by.

Hi Ray,
Nice to hear from you again ! I thought about yours and I remember you changed out the Pedals on yours to make it exactly original and wondered where you found your Pedals. As I recall you did all the work on that guitar yourself. I wonder, do the old style narrow Cast Pedals and the Legrand Pedals have the same spacing between them ?

Thanks Ray !

The narrow cast pedals and the Legrand pedals have the same spacing.

The narrow cast pedals take a different pedal bar than the Legrand pedals so you would need to come up with the right bar to accommodate them.

Jim Palenscar converted a D 12 Emmons guitar to a SD 12 and thats how I was able to come up with the pedals I purchased.
