I had a request from a friend about data recovery. It seems that he had a CD with pictures but several CD/DVD drives were unable to read the disk. I have some forensic software that purports to be able to extract data from nearly any disk, either optical or hard drive. It succeeded with every disk that I tried even badly scratched disks. If there is anyone who has disks that are unreadable and the disks have desirable data, send me a personal message and we can arrange to have the data recovered. Cost for forum members will be the sender's postage to send the disk to me. I shall try to recover whatever is on the disk and burn that data to another disk. I'll return the original disk and the new disk to the sender.
