So you wonder if you have enough channels for your upcoming project. Go back to 1906 and you would be wondering if you had enough cylinders in stock.
(From the Sears-Robuck Catalogue of 1906).

Alan, according to an online inflation calculator, the 1906 $10 would be $263.16 in 2016 dollars. Today, in the three hundred dollar neighborhood, you can buy a Tascam 4-channel handheld recorder or a Tascam 8-channel Portastudio. This is a case where I think that I would like today's products much better than yesterday's.

NB: Tascam (and MF) is used as an example only. The reader is advised to evaluate any and all brands of his/her choice. Cool

You know, I've been thinking about developing a gramophone horn adapter for smart phones that would also charge the phone, and have Bluetooth remote control. The horn would be acoustically coupled, and the charging would be wireless also. I bet I'll make millions.

I have to at least do as good as they guy that started selling bottle water... from a garden hose in Detroit...
