I am having trouble with my mouse. I can move it and sometimes it will do nothing until I click it or keep moving it around. I bought another one and I have the same issue. Just wondering if any of you have an idea what may be going on. It is frusturating when you are trying to look at the web and cannot get what you want. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is your mouse a newer one with a laser or is it an older one with a rollerball in it?

If it is laser, try it on a sheet of paper (with no lines).

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus!

Optical mice are sometimes tempermental about the surface they're used on... pure white, etc not good. I've seen problems with fake wood grain also.

Another optical mouse problem... hair. Hairs can mess them up. Another one... losing tracking... pick one up and you can't use the button, since the mouse doesn't think it's down it won't send a click.

And, of course... roller mice develop 'cheese' inside and have to be cleaned.
