"All My Sorrows" was recorded by The Kingston Trio in the late fifties, then later recorded as a vocal by The Shadows, one of their few vocal hits. The melody is based on a sad Bahamian lullaby and brought to fame, named "All My Trials" with different lyrics, , during the social protest movements of the 1950s by artists like Joan Baez, and then Peter, Paul and Mary, and it was also recorded by Paul and Linda McCartney. Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Cunningham also did a version of "All My Sorrows". The chord sequence is C - Bb - C - Bb at the intro followed in the verses by a C - Bb - Am - Dm G7 -C based sequence.
This version features the lead on a Steelocaster lap steel, a MSA pedal steel, and a Charvel Jackson acoustic lap steel. Strings are from a Roland E-09 sampler. The major rhythm and bass backing is by Charles Campbell.
