"Right Back Where We Parted"
I don't know about you, but I miss this the type of country music today. There is nothing better than Paycheck's Little Darlin recordings. The great Lloyd Green kills it on this one too. Hope u like it.
Best. |

Hi Jerry.
Here is some information about Ms. Evans.
Mickie Evans
Born: September 25, 1924
WATV Garden State Jamboree
WHOO Orlando, FL
WTTM Trenton, NJ
Mickie Evans stood all of five foot two and was known as one of the 'highest and fastest' female yodelers in the country in the early to mid 1950s. She had brown hair and green eyes.
She began her singing career when she was just 13 they said and even traveled around the country performing with various hillbilly bands. A few years later found her performing on her own on the ABC network show, "Hayloft Hoedown Show". Then she moved on to Orlando, Florida for about four years. While she was in Orlando, they tagged her the "South's Fastes and Highest Girl Yodeler".
She returned to Trenton, New Jersey in 1950 where she was heard over radio station WTTM, Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 7:30am and from 6:30 to 7:45pm and even on Saturdays from 8:30 to 10:00am.
She shared the bill with many of the big name acts in hillbilly music back then. She worked with such stars as Kenny Roberts, Eddy Arnold, Hank Snow, Jimmy Dickens, Lefty Frizzell, Pee Wee King, Rex Allen, Roy Acuff, Hawkshaw Hawkins and others.
Mickie also got some television exposure, appearing on such shows as the Arthur Godfrey's show, Jack Steck's "Tela Cruise Show", "The Peggy Towne Show", "The Betty Barton TV Show", "The Ranger Joe TV Show" and the "Talent Search - Country Style" shows. On top of that, she also starred for a time on the "County Fair TV Show" that aired out of Baltimore, Maryland.
Here is the only other link with them I could find. It's a good one too.
