I'm very sad to hear about Scotty's passing. In 2003, I went to the International Steel Guitar Convention for the first time and had the opportunity to meet him. He was a great friend, great steel player, and great musician. RIP Scotty, you will be missed

I met Scotty at the Gulfport, Mississippi, show last year. I found him both friendly and engaging. I wish I'd had the opportunity to get to know him sooner and better.

Sincere condolences to the family, and thanks for all you've done to promote this wonderful instrument.
