This year the Route 66 Steel Guitar Show will have its 13th annual endeavor to bring the sweet, sweet sounds of the steel guitar to an awaiting crowd of fans. Last year there was talent heard from 6 different states and over 40 steel guitar players. You won't want to miss this year's show! You'll find the venue is full of friendly people, ready to make your visit a fun-full experience! You'll find that people from Kansas know how to cook and you'll be pleasantly surprised of how inexpensive it will be. Here's how to find the auditorium where this show will be in Baxter Springs, KS. It is in the Community Building at the corner of 11th and East Ave. The dates for this are: October 2, 3, and 4. If you go, you'll certainly be glad you did!!!!!

Well, my buddy Fred Fuller called today, he won't be going with me to the show. As a student player, what should I expect to bring? Will I need my guitar & amp? I thought I might attend something instructional if its offered, but having never been to a steel show, I've no way of knowing what to expect? Thanks for your suggestions.
I'm looking forward to meeting Fred, Joe, Jerry Roller and others, as we've emailed one another....

Edward, there is isn't any instruction, just 40 steel players each with a 30 minute set and a great backup band. Come on you won't be disappointed.
