Buddy's "Twelve String" Guitar

I can't remember what song it was, but Buddy played a song for me where he was playing a pedal steel that was set up with double strings like a twelve string guitar (E9th with 20 strings). Does anyone know about that guitar and what the song is that I am trying to remember?
