I ran across this video today of me playing my Pro II with pedals standing up.
Don't know how I kept from falling on my ass!

I have often wondered about this. My old copy of a Permanent has legs that extend, but only a standard set of pedal rods. Did players order a long set if they wanted to stand?

(Knee levers would not have been an issue as it had none originally.)

Anyone know?

I don't know if she played pedals or not but Marian Hall played her steel in a semi-standing position on a tall stool. She was on the Tex Ritter show out of California. A lot of good talent on that show.

Wow! Very nice playing W.C. Great tone, too coming through that Standel amp. Used to have a Standel back in the day. I forgot how good they could sound. Tenn.Lee

Before Sho-Bud, Shot would put pedals on console steels. He would offer extensions for the pedal rods so you could play sitting or standing. I would play my Fender Dual Professional sitting on a tall stool with it at standing height. He charged 75.00 for the whole deal in 1954.

Don Warden of Porter Wagoner's band played a stand-up Sho-Bud, with two pedals, I think.

Kind Regards, Walter

What about a bar stool? Then you could be at standing-up height, but still be sitting.
