My friend, a young player new to steel bought an MSA Semi Classic S10. It have 3 pedals, and 4 knees.
As I understand, they came with one knee originally, and they have double raise/lower capabilities.
I have only seen photos and it looks like a nice guitar. But he was describing the pedal/knee lever setup, and it sounds like a mess.
I told him someone will have to work on this thing and will cost you some money....he is fine with that.
I will have the steel with me after this weekend.

Anyone in DFW that can help me with this?

Thanks

Names? How about "MSA"? Take it back to the factory and have them do it!

Jim as far as I know the factory don't carry any spares for the older guitars. But maybe Mitchell might be able to do some adjustments on guitar( or David).

That would be kinda like taking a Model-T to a Ford dealer! I doubt they'd even want to bother. The old MSA guitars have very little in common with their new ones, so they wouldn't have all the parts that may be needed.

Well...yes and no. The changer was double/double, but the end plate wasn't originally drilled for all strings. You can drill or mill it, so that's not a big deal if you're capable and have the tools, and that one may even be done (since it has some added levers).

David Wright would be my choice, too. His dad was MSA, with Reece Anderson, David represented MSA in their showroom at the Dallas show. Because I knew his dad was also Sierra Pedal Steels, I asked him to adjust my Sierra Session D-10 at the show. He did a fantastic job and didn't gouge me on price.
