I've been holding a load of KOA and Walnut Master Grade Plates for that Some Day Build out.
Well that Some Day is this Spring - Summer's Production Run.
Here is a Sneek Peek with a dozen just home from the Router shop , Laser Logos. I have another Dozen or more at the Shop being Routered.
The KOA Plates are .180 thick , and the Walnuts are .250, the base woods are all AAA Solid 1 piece Poplar - Mahogany - Sepelle - Walnut.

Thanks fellows, it means a lot , this has been a long time coming.
I followed Andy Volk's suggestion of making the fretboards from inlay wood with more eloquence to the shape at the pickup end.
The Wood is Jatoba, an African Cherry of some sort.
Turquoise Inlay. KOA Edging.

Be sure to let me wife know such a thing exists!
Seriously, George, those are completely stunning. The hula girls were fun but this elevates your instruments to the top of the mountain. Thanks for all you do for the instrument. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

Many Thanks for the Kind Words, Andy - Tom and every one else.
Andy has been a Guide for GeorgeBoards for a few Decades now.
Always inspirational ideas and suggestions. Plus placing my instruments into his Book helped promote the GeorgeBoard to Stardom.
Tom you Nailed It !! (Glued it) about the future labor.
I am estimating 30 - 40 hours of hand "Love" per instrument. All in all 1200 plus more hours in view.
The Majority are scheduled for Edge Banding the photos below are just the Beginning.
Many more surprises and details to be unveiled as these progress.
The Inlay is Turquoise.

As much as I like natural woods, that airbrushed guitar on the left looks great. Very "classic" .
Nice job as always George. |

Beautiful, George. I like the sunburst as well. Most or all look like 8's, any chance of a twin-P90 6 string in the mix? _________________ Stop by the Steel Store at: www.markvanallen.com

You must be very industrious, George. If I had that many body blanks it would keep me busy for the next twenty years, assuming that I live that long.
Great wood, by the way. I'm very envious.
I wonder how it would sound if you hollowed one out and finished it as an acoustic instrument. |

Thanks for all the good words everyone - it means a lot to me.
I like the Burst Too, I've been playing around with Amber - Brown Tints for a few years -- always wanted to know how to do a proper burst.
I have 10 more S8 laps that are nearly done Both in Super Walnut and Super KOA.
About a 6 String GB , Glad you asked -- ha .
I am designing our latest cool 6 String Lap.
It will have a conventional Guitar-ish Head Stock.
It is long enough to make scales up to 26 and maybe longer.
A Palm Bender will have plenty of room to fit one of these.
I have a pickup pocket program for a 6 string, that houses all sorts of Humbucking Shaped Pickups.
My personal favorite is a P90 in a Humbucker Housing.
Placing 2 Pickups is no problemo.
There are a ton of plans in the works for this New GeorgeBoard 6 String Lap.
Alan - I would love to have the ability and tools to do authentic Luthier type fun stuff.
I do however live in Luther Oklahoma , so I guess that makes me a Luther-er.
Working on more photos and sound clips.
JULY 20 - 2015 More Photos with a lot of Lacquer
