Anyone have a few old Bud parts they could part with?..Will pay a fair price..
I just need a few old style 5/16 round shafts for an S10[D10 is ok also, I would just cut them down..Also a couple of any type bellcrank that would work on a 5/16 round shaft. I can make the aluminum 5/16 hole shaft brackets here, as well as the pedal stops, but I do need the shafts to have the pedal rod levers on them... any help would be appreciated, and ANY brand parts will work fine as long as the can be screwed into a wood body the way the old buds were... bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Didn't know that Bob, I know James(shobud@windstream.net) has bell cranks and other parts for 5/16" round or D shaped (flat land on one side)shafts. For cross shafts you can buy 5/16' SS motor shaft rod or for a stronger more rigid but harder to cut, use drill rod....Stormy |

Bob, a hardware shop sales plain round in all sizes. You will need to cut to your length. I buy mine at ace hardware. _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |

Bob, talk to Steve Gunder. I have some two-hole pullers stuff, and he could clone it easy enough. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Larry.. yes I am aware of the fact that I can buy 5/16 round stock, and its cheap .. Problem is the pull tab for the pedal rod has to be made from flat stock, welded on and then drilled, and I would still need bellcranks, and would have to make the aluminum brackets that mount the cross shafts from aluminum angle stock... I have done it before, several times, and it worked well, but its so much easier to just buy and install it, and the "store bought" stuff is less crude than the parts I would make here... bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

How many pedal rods do you need? I have been meaning to ask Steve to make the three I need, I could probably get a few more. Would you want zinced steel, or does stainless sound better? And how long? My Bud is a 12 _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Lane.. I don't need pedal rods... I need the 5/16 cross shafts with pedal rod pull tabs, a couple of bellcranks and the brackets that attach the cross shafts to the body... bob _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Right. I knew what I meant, I just typed the wrong thing. I meant the cross-shafts with pedal pulls attached. Are the 12 string and ten string the same length?
Let me know how many of those and I'll get him to clone those angle-iron rod brackets. I have some of the delrin bushings that go in them somewhere. I'll check on the bellcranks as well.
Would you need those round brass thingies too, or just the bellcranks? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
