Sho~Bud Professional. 8X4.
About 2 years ago, I took this guitar down and rebuilt every mechanical part. All parts are original other than the stainless steel pull rods, and all stainless steel hardware. The fretboards are replacements from Tom Bradshaw. Some aftermarket fretboards were not marked correctly. These are. The pickups are Telonics. 206 on back neck and 86 (i think thats the number) on the front.

Guitar includes Sho~Bud case.

There is some light checking of the lacquer and a few bar dings between the necks. I will include the pice of leather i cut to fit between the necks.

The pedal setup is standard Emmons.
The Knees are as follows:
RKR lowers 2 a whole and 9 a half. 9th string pull used as halfstop.
RKL lowers 4 and 8
LKR raises 1 a whole and lowers 6 a whole
LKL raises 4 and 8.

I will install your setup at no cost using the existing parts.

This is one of the best sounding guitars I've seen. It tunes up nice and stays.

Anyone in central Texas is encouraged to come play the guitar.

Price is $1800, Or make an offer. I'm out of the loop with the market. I will deliver within a reasonable distance or split shipping cost.

It is Jody.
I have been hesitating a couple years. I just have too many guitars... This one deserves to be played.

We need to get together!

Like I said in original post, I'm out of the loop on guitar prices.
After some looking, I lowered it to $1800.

If I'm still off, please let me know. You won't hurt my feelings. 😃

I have this identical guitar. The R&B system is so nice and simple. Works great and is super easy to change.

One feature of this guitar (if I'm not mistaken) is that it appears that the RKR works both necks. That is uncommon for this vintage of ShoBud and really nice to have.

Good eye! I did that to raise my 4th string a half on the back neck.

Justin, I think you might be a little bit under priced. You are not out of line asking $2200 for this guitar, not at all. So, it boils down to how motivated you as a seller want to be.Smile

Tom, RKL and RKR work both necks, a very COMMON thing with the later run of this model. Earlier models, not so much Very Happy

Sweet axeand a righteous price!!

Thank you James! I'm glad you are up and around buddy.

As for the price, I'd really like to see this guitar played more. I got a lot of years of enjoyment out of it, and I'm ready for someone else to enjoy it.

Best,
Justin

Here's my opinion.
2200.00 over priced?? Yes over priced on a model that it is not hard to find at all. BUT this Professional is VERY HARD to find for 2200.00 as it's NOT just a run of the mill professional. See the underneath?? how nice it looks and Justin set it up than it plays PERFECT!!!!
So it's not a easy to find Professional for 1800.00 and then you will need several to 600.00 dollars of fixing up to do....This one is Already FIXED UP...and good to go.
So now 1800.00 is how much you spend on a every-day-easy to find-professional....and so NOW ITS UNDERPRICED.
Ricky

I played this guitar on several sessions and with several Artists, including Johnny Bush and Johnny Lyon. It's the best sounding Sho-Bud I've ever played, and I've owned several. I wish I could swing buying it back, but can't do it right now. It's on Johnny Lyons' record called "The Austin Sessions", among others that I can't remember.

Someone will get a classic for a great price. Smile

Thank you Ricky and Jody! It's a great sounding guitar. Ricky is right, this guitar shouldn't need service for many, many years.

I've just got too many. A Wraparound Emmons, another P/P and a really good Blanton. I should be set for life!

Thanks again!

Wow Justin, you do really nice work! I wish mine looked as nice. I still have stock 8 x 3 but she does sound sweet despite the fact it would take a great effort to look [ and probably play ] like your guitar! I hope you don't mind if I reach out to you for advice when I add my LKR, if need be. This is a great guitar at an amazing price. Good luck in the sale.
