I had the pleasure of meeting Carson and playing one of his D-10 guitars at a steel show some years back.
He seemed like a genuine good guy and one hell of a builder.
Anyone know if he or the guitars are still around?

As of a little less than a year ago he was still alive. I got a replacement knee lever from him. He is living in Kerrville Texas. Unless something happened in the last 6 months or so. I guess I'll try and call him tomorrow and see.

Yes, it would be neat to see Carson; what a nice guy!
Some years back at the Dallas show, when Ron Elliott, Charlie McGough and a few others, we always had a great time having a little touch of "scotch" and telling lies, which included Carson.
Maybe he will show up or call; unless he has gone on to the Steel Guitar Show in the sky.
Maybe he is still around; hope so..........

When I talked to him last year he told me he quit building guitars a couple of years ago. I was going to try and call him today, but I didn't have 2 hours to spare. I will definitely try tomorrow.
