Every concert I attended this Season featured this beautiful Christmas Song written by Mark Lowery of Gaithers fame.
Cost me a few work hours but arranging this for my little Gibson was most satisfying. Wishing all the compliments of the Season.

I've had a lousey day. I've got a nasty cold and some other things going on. Listening to that song took me out of my world for a few minutes and made me feel better. Thanks for that! |

Very nice! It's worth noting that the beautiful melody was written by Buddy Green, 12 yrs after Mark wrote the lyrics. Buddy often played harmonica with the Gaithers. It's been covered on Christmas albums by everyone from Natalie Cole to Kenny Rogers but I think my favorite is Kathy Mattea - and now Roy Thompson, of course. |

Thanks for mentioning my friend and old running mate Buddy Greene and his contribution to this modern Christmas classic. Buddy is a brilliant musician and a great guy..
Nice job, Roy. Happy holidays y'all. |
