Great songwriting. Wonderful compositions.
I'm going to spend a lot of time on your bandcamp page until I have a chance to buy this.
Did I hear some vibes on there too?
I can really hear 'sweat' in some of those solo's, which is my favorite musical element

I apologize to anyone who stumbled upon the XXX record, but boy that was fun! I'm playing steel on a couple of those numbers too. In regards to the cheap suit serenaders, any fan of the 20s-30s novelty/jazz style ought to check them out. I've known about them for years, but once I started playing steel in my old time jazz band, it just definitely becomes that thing! ... I'm hoping to make an ALL steel guitar album with this outfit that has all the hits, but I need to get my chops up a little bit more. I am happy with the parts I laid down on the current album for what they are, but I'm not a hot shot!

Oh yeah... and for those of you who like to keep track of gear:
Rickbacker B-6 tuned C6 (War Time Model) through a Blues Jr.
Republic Tricone tuned C6 ... Please forgive me for tuning a resonator in C6, but as a multi-instrumentalist, I can only keep so much straight!

No apology needed. I play old "reefer" songs from that era and like those bawdy songs as well. Always liked the Cheap Suit Serenaders and their off shoots.
Back in the '80's there was a band called "The Apes of Wrath Novelty Band" out of Berkeley, CA who did a lot of original songs in the style of '30's jazz & string bands. They wrote most their own songs. They were a lot of fun. I don't know if they ever recorded.
