I have recently had the pleasure to communicate with Jimmie
Hudson of Hudson Steel Guitars. Jimmie is a fine Luthier and is
manufacturing beautiful Resonators and 6 String Pedal Steels along with 8 and 10 string models.
I got his 6 string C6 setup from his Web Site and wrote " The Blue Pedal". It's a really neat experience to play pedal(2)and
knee lever(1) on six strings.
Do yourself a favor and browse around Jimmie's Site. Search for
Hudson Steel Guitar Company.

Roy, I take it you have one of Mr. Hudson's guitars. Would you consider doing a review or at least giving us your impressions of the guitar? Considering your playing experience, your opinions and observations could be helpful to others.

Hi Bob, I do not have one of Jimmie Hudson's guitars unfortunately. However, I am familiar with his approach and
what he is out to accomplish. His product is excellent for the beginning and experienced musician, I think. Beautiful work indeed.
For my clip, The Blue Pedal, the subject of this thread, I used
the back neck of my Carter Steel. I was changing strings and just put 6 on to check out how it would work and sound. I also did the same to test his E9th 6 string. It is amazing and I hope more people get interested in this approach. The price is right, it's easy on the back and a lot of fun...I would think? I say that because again, I do not own one and have not played one.
In my dealings with Jimmie, he is an A1 guy.
