We would like to invite everyone to the Georgia Steel Guitar Association’s PeachJam XXIII November 9, 2014. We will be starting at 10:30AM at our new "usual" location VFW Post 5290 1432 VFW Dr. in Conyers, GA 30014, about 25 miles east of downtown Atlanta on I-20.

This time our headliner will be Steel Guitar Hall of Famer, Doug Jernigan. We are proud to have several players joining us who are not from the local area. Here is the list.

Confirmed Players
Doug Jernigan
Carco Clave
Jonathan Cullifer
Janet Lynn Wise
Jack Doughtery
John LeMaster
Robert McCullers
Kurt Johnson
Bill Cunningham

Watch for the schedule to be finalized in a few days.

We will also have our great regular staff band. Johnny Thomas and Bob Strickland, guitars; Wayne Smith, bass; Johnny Basler, drums.

Let us know if you are coming. We strive to offer a day of great playing and musical fellowship!

Bill Cunningham
President, GaSGA

Yes, we have a great show lined up, with many players that have never graced our stage.

Plus a double header, Doug Jernigan/Carco Clave. Just wait until you hear some of their twin stuff. Doug on steel, Carco on guitar.

And for the first time EVER, a lady to grace our stage on steel guitar, the incomparable Janet Lynn Wise.

It is going to be a great day.

As time draws near, I will be posting updates and any further news about the show.

Bumpin"... And I don't mean the Wes Montgomery tune. (unless Jernigan pulls that one out of his hat)

Hey, Bill, is Kenney Head on the staff band this time? One of my best musical pals and a monster player, I was so tickled to see him at the last couple of shows.

Hi Mark. Kenny is having a fun time in the steel guitar show band and we are glad to have him. He plans to be there unless he has a real paying gig come up between now and then. You know how it is when it's your living! He is playing with me in the Georgia Mtn. fair band now too and you are right, he is a tasty versatile player.

I'm gonna have to get my ears in shape for this show. I don't know if I can hear as fast as Doug can play! This is going to be a great opportunity to get to hear some players that haven't played our show before. Looking forward to it!
